Further downstream from Kerr's Reach, Canterbury Paddling Club have been using the City Council compound off Owles Terrace for many years.

All of the (10) new Champion Dragon Boats will also be held there for training purposes. This venue has the advantage that it is well clear of the stretch that rowers and kayakers practice on.

Aoraki is working with Waka Ama clubs to organise an upgrade to facilities in the compound, in conjunction with Christchurch City Council.

This will include improvements to the toilets and showers, meeting and storage areas. Teams should email us at aoraki.dragons@gmail.com if they have anything to add to the 'wish list'.
