St Margaret’s College

"SMC", in their distinctive red and white strip, has entered Dragonboat festivals since 2002, although all paddlers are new to the sport this year (as they are most years).

In 2010, the year of the St Margaret’s College centenary, the Year 13 ‘SMC Tsunami’ team, ably swept by Rick Smith for the 8th year, are out to prove that they are stronger and better on the water than the fiercely competitive Year 12 Red crew.

Captain and co-captains Charlotte and Emma have been inspirational this season, particularly successful last weekend in organizing chants with other teams on the Wellington water front to entertain the crowds following the Tsunami warning.

St Margarets are well known for their friendliness, energy levels and their awesome songs and chants!
