Aoraki Dragons thanks the following for their support ...Fahey's Fencing

towards ...purchasing six Dragon Boats to re-establish Now that's the kind of generosity that can't go un-thanked... And they have continued to support Aoraki and our teams in more recent times as well. Thank you CommTrust! Mainland FoundationLate September 2008, Mainland Foundation approved a donation of $4,000 toward purchase and fit-out of a 40ft container to protect (part of) our new fleet of Champion Dragon Boats.
The container will live in the Owles Terrace compound in New Brighton, and will hold six boats over winter, and at least some of them through most of our summer training season. It will also be used to ship the boats to Dunedin etc for regatta. The Southern Trust
Such a grant would allow us to order enough Dragon Boats to run a full regatta. NZ Dragon Boat AssociationAoraki is grateful to Dave Elliott (when he was chair of NZDBA) for his advice and support in getting established, but especially for the loan of boats! PakworldTony Blazey from Pakworld has been extremely generous in printing the Race packs, folders and the participation certificates. Thinking cartons? Think Pakworld Airways Corporation of NZPaddlateers' have been well supported by their employers, Airways Corporation, for many years. Now ACNZ are also supporting Aoraki in many ways. For example, in 2008 they sponsored all the medals, Prize Paddles and engraving for the local regatta. And they continue to provide high-tech meeting rooms (in their Air Traffic Control Centre in Russley) so that Aoraki's board can run the sport so effectively in the South Island. RMD New Zealand Pty LtdRMD (in Parkhouse Road, Sockburn) are specialist in access scaffolding, propping systems, formwork, concrete stages and related construction equipment to the construction and civil industries. Lance Johnson and Bernie Hamilton have been very generous in providing frames and scaffolds for our regatta. Glass Tower Strategic CommunicationsGlass Tower supported Aoraki (and Abreast of Life) pro bono with media releases and follow up, TV and Press etc. |
