Harbour Fun Day

Wellington will also run a "Harbour Fun Day" on 7th March 2009 for Ault and Secondary School Teams

School divisions will (probably) be Girls, Boys or Mixed, but as this event has only been run once, "the structure of racing will be decided after we get entries".

No restrictions on water training, but restrictions remain in place for the Festival, so be careful with your allocation of training sessions. However "Every school team is entitled to 8 one-hour training sessions before the Wellington Secondary Schools Dragon Boat Festival (March 22nd). The Harbour Fun Day is counted as one training session, so if you enter a team in that competition, you will only need to schedule 7 other training sessions."

Entry cut off date is 2-Feb-09. School entry fee of $75 plus gst ($84.35).

The grassy knoll area next to the lagoon is the camping/ meeting site during this day. Teams MUST apply to the Festival office if they
want to erect strong/sturdy shelters or tents (no gazebos allowed).

All fees are non refundable and non transferable
