South Island Champs 09 (Lake Hood) - Results

Aoraki's main Dragon Boat Regatta for 2008-09 season was on Saturday 14-March (Corporate and Open) and Sunday 15-March-08 (Schools). This the first regatta that Aoraki had held on Lake Hood near Ashburton.

Teams raced in the northern end of the lake, from near the beach southward, using the marked international rowing standard lanes. Note, we race one boat to a rowing lane, with four Champion Dragon Boats per race. That is, we use four rowing lanes. The start mechanism is a start rope for alignment (with the drummer holding the rope).
